Who we are
Damaanati is operated by FUTURETECH Limited Company, which acts as the controller of personal data processed in connection with the Damaanati application, where applicable.
Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how the current Damaanati Free 1.0 application handles personal data and other information when you create and use a local account and its features.
Personal data and information we process
Damaanati stores the first and last name you enter; local password-verification data; account, session, and login-history records; profile and reminder settings; and the warranty, contract, product, provider, merchant, date, price, category, note, notification, and attachment information you choose to add. Some document content may be personal data depending on what you store. The database includes local sync-state fields, but remote sync is disabled in Free 1.0. An ad-impression table exists, but the current bundled-ad widget does not write to it.
Mandatory and optional information
First name, last name, and a password are required to create a local account; confirmation is required to check the password entry. Without them, Damaanati cannot create the account. Warranties, contracts, receipts, scanned images, PDFs, attachments, reminders, notes, profile preferences, and other feature fields are optional or required only when you choose the related feature.
Purposes of processing
We process local account data to create and authenticate your account, separate local users, operate your chosen warranty and contract features, store and display your entries and documents, extract editable fields at your request, schedule reminders, maintain local security and account integrity, handle deletion, and comply with applicable Saudi law when required.
Legal basis for processing
Where applicable under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, account operation, warranty and contract organization, OCR or AI prefill, and requested reminders are processed to provide the service or feature you request and to perform the user agreement. Security and local account integrity are processed where necessary to provide and protect the service. Processing required by applicable Saudi law is based on that legal obligation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it subject to applicable requirements; acknowledging this Policy is not blanket consent to every processing activity.
Local Free-account storage
Damaanati Free 1.0 stores account and feature data in app-private local storage on your device. It does not currently upload Free-account warranties, contracts, documents, attachments, reminders, settings, or local account data to FUTURETECH-operated cloud storage, and no application-level cloud sync or cloud backup is currently active for Free accounts.
Multiple local accounts
Multiple local accounts may exist on one device. Account-owned data is separated for each local account.
OCR and AI-assisted processing
Damaanati uses OCR and AI-assisted processing to extract text and prefill editable warranty and contract fields at your request. Supported OCR inputs are processed on the device. The application does not intentionally upload scanned document or receipt images, extracted text, or OCR results to FUTURETECH-operated servers or to Google as part of an OCR request. On Android, some OCR and scanning functions rely on Google ML Kit and Google Play Services; scanner components may be delivered through Google Play Services, and scanning output returns locally to Damaanati for staging and storage. Output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misread; review and correct it before saving or relying on it. Damaanati does not make legal or contractual decisions about you through this feature.
Documents and attachments
You may choose to store receipt images, scanned pages, contract PDFs, and other attachments in app-private local storage. These files may contain personal information selected by you. If you choose the document Share action, Damaanati gives a copy to the operating-system share sheet; the recipient or app you select then handles it under its own terms. Keep independent copies of important originals.
Notifications and permissions
Reminder definitions and generated notification records are stored locally, and Android or iOS may schedule notifications from them. Damaanati may request notification permission. When you choose relevant features, the app may use system file or document pickers and camera or scanner access to select, photograph, or scan receipts and contracts. Supporting platform components may use network connectivity for component delivery, updates, or diagnostics under the provider's settings and terms; this does not mean Damaanati uploads your locally stored warranty or contract content.
Bundled local advertisements
Damaanati Free 1.0 may show advertisements packaged with the app. The current implementation has no external ad-network SDK and the bundled-ad widget does not transmit tracking data or write ad-impression records. We will update this Policy before introducing materially different network-based advertising where required.
Data disclosure and recipients
The app does not routinely disclose locally stored Free-account content to FUTURETECH-operated cloud services or third-party ad networks. Certain Android OCR and scanning features rely on Google ML Kit or Google Play Services components, which may process technical and diagnostic information under Google's applicable terms and privacy practices. This may include device and app information, installation-related identifiers, configuration and performance information, usage events, errors, and metadata about input or output size. This technical information is distinct from the document images, extracted text, and OCR results processed on the device. Android or iOS system services and user-selected platform pickers, scanners, share-sheet destinations, or backup services may handle eligible data under their own settings and terms. FUTURETECH Limited Company may disclose information where required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
Operating-system backup and device transfer
Android is configured to allow eligible app files, databases, and preferences to participate in OS cloud backup and device transfer. iOS may separately include eligible application data in its platform backup or transfer services. Those platform services are controlled by the operating-system provider and its settings and terms; Damaanati does not control their retention or guarantee restoration.
International transfers
Damaanati does not currently provide application-level cloud synchronization for Free accounts, and the audited app code does not send Free-account warranty, contract, or document content to FUTURETECH-operated servers. Google platform or ML Kit diagnostic and operational information may be processed through Google's services. Operating-system or platform-service providers may also process eligible backup, device-transfer, scanner, or component-delivery data. FUTURETECH Limited Company cannot determine or guarantee the geographic processing location of Google or Apple platform services from application source code alone, and we do not state that data can never leave Saudi Arabia.
Retention
Active local account, session, login-history, warranty, contract, reminder, notification, settings, and attachment records remain while the relevant account or item remains in the app. Deleting individual items hides or marks their records for local deletion and cleans eligible attachment files according to the implemented maintenance flow; no separate time-based purge for all soft-deleted item records is promised. A deletion-pending account and its owned data remain during the 30-day restoration period. Final deletion is eligible at or after the deadline when deletion maintenance next runs. OS backups may persist under the platform provider's lifecycle.
Account and data deletion
You can initiate account deletion in the app. This signs out the selected account, cancels its scheduled notifications, and starts a 30-day restoration period. Final deletion removes that local account, its owned database records, and its app-private attachment directory at or after the deadline when deletion maintenance next runs. Other local accounts are unaffected. The app may be unable to remove copies retained separately in OS backups.
Security measures
Local accounts use password protection and in-app account separation. Passwords are not stored in plaintext, and verification occurs locally. FUTURETECH Limited Company uses technical and organizational measures designed to protect data, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Damaanati cannot remotely recover or reset a Free local-account password.
Your rights under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law
Subject to applicable PDPL requirements and exceptions, you may have the right to be informed; access personal data; obtain it in a readable and clear format where applicable; request correction, completion, or updating; request destruction or deletion where applicable; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; complain to the competent Saudi authority; and seek compensation where provided by applicable law.
How to exercise your rights
In the app you can edit certain profile, warranty, and contract information, delete individual items, and initiate account deletion. For access copies or other rights requests, email Damaanati@futuretech-group.com. We may need to verify your identity; never send your password by email. We aim to respond within the period required by applicable Saudi law. Where permitted, that period may be extended and you will be informed when applicable.
Complaints
You may contact Damaanati@futuretech-group.com with a privacy concern. If you believe your personal data has been processed in violation of the Saudi PDPL, you may also complain directly to the competent Saudi authority in accordance with applicable procedures.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
FUTURETECH Limited Company may update this Policy when practices, features, or legal requirements change. For material changes, users may be notified or shown the updated Policy where appropriate or required. We do not treat silence as consent to a materially different processing activity that requires consent.
